Alexander
Third Lord Boyd

Alexander counted as third Lord Boyd, second son of the first lord, succeeded his nephew.

He married Janet, daughter of Sir Robert Colville, of Ochiltree, and had children:

1. Robert - fourth Lord Boyd
2. Thomas -ancestor of the Boyds of Picton and the Boyds of Crosspatrick (d. 1547) m. Marion Fairlie (a 11.10.1580, daughter of John Fairlie) and had two sons:
   1. Thomas Boyd of Pitcon
   2. Robert Boyd
3. Adam - ancestor of the Boyds of Pinkill and Trochrig. His second son was Archbishop of Glasgow.

7. Margaret - married Colquhoun of Glens
8. Euphemia - married Logie of Loglealmond. She was grandmother of the seventh Earl of Erroll
