Patrick Boyd of Crosspatrick Esquire, born 1784. He married in 1807 his first cousin Mary, daughter of Sir William Boyd, and went to live at Mount Gordon, near Castlebar.

He died 11th July, 1849 and had children:

  1. William dsp 1831
  2. Charlotte, born 1817, died at Ballina 13th December 1870
  3. Marcella, born 1814, married St. Clair O'Malley Esquire, of Spencer Park, Castlebar, great-uncle of Sir Owen St. Clair O'Malley, KCMG. British Ambassador to Portugal. She died 2nd February, 1893 and is buried at Castlebar.

He was succeeded by his uncle, Alexander
