James, born 1725. Rector of Erris, near Killela. Married 1752, Mary Martin. The Reverend James Boyd died 1775 leaving an only son:
Abraham Boyd Esquire, KC born 1760. He married firstly Catherine Shuttleworth. Secondly Jane, Countess of Belvedere, by whom he had an only son, George Augustus, ancestor of the Boyd-Rochforts.
